What is it?
Adds two new commands to the right click context menu for mesh layers in the item list:
'Export selected as LXO' - exports all selected mesh layers to individual lxo files with filename based on layer name
'Export all as LXO' - exports all mesh layers to individual lxo files with filenames based on layer name.
How to install
:
Download and unzip mm_Layer2lxo.zip.
From modo's 'System' menu choose either 'Open User Configs Folder' or 'Open User Scripts Folder' (it doesn't matter which) to open either the configs or scripts directory in Explorer/Finder.
Copy/move the mm_Layer2lxo folder into whichever user folder you opened in the previous step. Make sure you copy the whole 'mm_Layer2lxo' folder not just the files inside it.
Restart modo.
Usage Notes
:
If the current scene has already been saved to disk (or loaded from disk) the individual lxo files will be saved to the same location as the original scene. If the current scene hasn't already been saved to disk the script will show a directory dialog to browse for an output location.
