What is it:
Utility to launch Modo from a USB key or portable hard drive. I've written this because, as of Modo 302, it is no longer possible to get Modo to load it's license file from its startup directory using a blank '-license:' command switch as was laid out in the
Install Modo on a USB key FAQ.
Usage:
Follow the instructions for putting Modo onto a USB key or external drive from the
Install Modo on a USB key FAQ, skipping step 2. Extract the contents of the ModoLaunch.zip to the root of the USB key or external drive. continue with steps 3 and 4 of the FAQ. Now Right click on the ModoLaunch shortcut and select properties. Edit the target so that the first argument to ModoLaunch.exe is the name of the modo folder and the second argument is the name of the modo config file. it should look something like the following:
DriveLetter:\ModoLaunch\ModoLaunch.exe "Modo 302" "Modo_302.cfg"
Where 'DriveLetter' is the letter that Windows has assigned to your USB key or external drive.
click OK. That should be it, double clicking on the icon should launch Modo from the USB Key/Hard drive.
